About me

If I had nothing to go on but the example of Christians, I would be an atheist.  That's not to say that there are not some exemplary Christians; I think there are.  I have met some remarkable people who live in a way that I think Jesus would be pleased with.  Unfortunately, they are the outliers, and if I had nothing else to go on, I would have to conclude that these wonderful people live better than other Christians for reasons that have nothing to do with their religion.

On the other hand, I think there are good reasons to believe that Christianity is true.  I think there is good reason to believe that God exists and Jesus actually rose from the dead.  So where does that leave me?

The journey I am on is about trying to find out what is true rather than defending what I or anyone else already believes to be true.  This has led me to start Why Should I Believe in an effort to give people (like me) who are looking for answers a place to ask real questions without being attacked for thinking differently.
